Environment and Safety Programs:
        Astro Chemicals Inc. is a distributor of chemical products to manufacturing and municipal users throughout the Northeast.  This distribution includes the warehousing of factory sealed products, repackaging and warehousing of bulk products, and the transportation of products to customers.
        Astro Chemicals Inc. has developed an extensive program(s) to ensure environmental compliance, and to protect the health and safety of all employees and the public.
        The goals of the Environmental Compliance are not limited to simply complying with existing permits, rules and regulations but to be proactive in identifying risk and taking corrective actions to eliminate or minimize the exposures.
        The goals of the health and safety program(s) are: to minimize the risk of worker illness or injury, to minimize the risk to public health, and to minimize any release of Hazardous materials into the environment.  Astro Chemicals' Health and Safety plan is two pronged: site specific for the warehouse and drumming operations; and specific to the distribution (transportation) process of Hazardous Materials.

Quality Assurance Program:
        Astro is committed to quality products and services. Our quality management system follows the guidelines of the ISO 9002 International Standard.  The Quality System includes, but is not limited to:

  • Corrective Action Process
